As many of you know, Chuck was a man of strong convictions and deep faith.  He trusted completely in God and lived his life trying to influence as many people as possible to put their faith in Jesus Christ.  He never held back but always gave everything he had – as a husband, a father, a brother, a church leader, and as a business and community leader, too.  His energy was amazing, and even in his last months and weeks, he spent a lot of time talking with people and encouraging them.  So many have expressed to us how deeply he impacted their lives, and we’re so grateful.

Though we miss him terribly, we continue to pray that God will use his life, his character and his witness to point other people to Jesus, too. The entire family would like to thank everyone for all of the prayer and support we've received during these difficult times. It has been a tremendous comfort to all of us and you have all been an incredible blessing.

Following is an excerpt from Dad’s 6-27-04 journal entry:

“Jeremiah said the wise man should not boast in his wisdom, nor the mighty man in his might, nor should the rich man boast in his riches. What we are to boast in is that we know the Lord.  Lord, I want to know you more.  You are my hiding place.”

The entire family is very grateful for all of your prayer and support we've received from everyone.  It is very comforting to see how much Dad impacted the lives of others.  We have to trust in God’s perfect plan for our lives and find comfort in knowing that Dad doesn’t need to battle cancer any longer and is now enjoying his perfect, eternal body in heaven... with Sara.  To enlarge a picture simply click on it.  A new window will automatically appear.  To close the pop-up window just click anywhere on the page.

This picture was taken in Wengen on a trip up to Jung Fraah, the tallest Peek in Europe. The were no motor cars allowed in Wengen. It was extremely quiet and peaceful.

Yup... it's Chuck on a street... nobody remembers where.
